Qatar Arrests 313 Over Spreading Misinformation on Social Media

The Ministry of Interior has arrested **313 individuals of various nationalities** for misusing social media, officials said.

According to the ministry, the arrests were made by the agency responsible for **preventing cybercrimes**, targeting those accused of spreading **misleading information and rumors**.

Authorities stated that the suspects had **created unauthorized video clips** and shared content on social media aimed at **causing public concern and unrest**, which violated government directives.

The ministry urged the public to **rely only on official sources for information** and avoid sharing any content that contains **misleading information or could incite public opinion**.
