Governor Balochistan Stresses Jirga System as Key to Ending Tribal Conflicts

Quetta (Qudrat Daily) – Governor Balochistan, Jafar Khan Mandokhel, has stated that the national jirga system remains an effective and credible mechanism for resolving regional disputes and tribal enmities.
Addressing political, religious, and tribal leaders during visits to Qila Abdullah and Pishin, he emphasized that this is a critical time to foster understanding between communities and bring people closer, warning that the nation can no longer tolerate hatred, tribal rivalries, and regional conflicts. He urged government officials, political leaders, religious scholars, and tribal elders to play an active role in reconciliation efforts.
Governor Mandokhel instructed district administrations to take immediate measures to ensure the safety and protection of citizens, making it clear that any negligence in maintaining law and order would not be tolerated.
During his visit to Segai in Qila Abdullah, the Governor expressed grief and condolences over the martyrdom of Aslam Khan Tarin, the son of tribal leader Haji Muhammad Omar Khan Tarin, and prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased and patience for the bereaved families. Accompanying the Governor were Provincial Minister Mir Asim Kurd Gello and prominent tribal leaders including Malik Saadullah Jan Tarin, Malik Nematullah Khan Segai, Malik Mehbullah Khan Tarin, and Haji Qutbuddin Agha.
Governor Mandokhel also expressed deep sorrow over the recent killing of police officer Naqeebullah Tarin in Segai, assuring his family that the officer’s son would be provided a government job. He further extended condolences to the families of three victims, including a father and daughter, killed in Pishin, offering prayers for their souls and support to their families.
