274 Militants Killed, 12 Pakistani Soldiers Martyred in Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq: DG ISPR

**Islamabad:** Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations, Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has stated that 274 members of the Afghan regime and militant elements have been killed and 400 injured so far in Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq, while 12 Pakistani soldiers were martyred, 27 wounded, and one reported missing.

Addressing a press conference in Rawalpindi, the military spokesperson said that on the night of February 21 and 22, Pakistan Army targeted hideouts of what he termed “Fitna al-Khawarij” inside Afghanistan. He alleged that following the strikes, the Afghan regime launched firing across 53 locations in 15 sectors along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Lt Gen Chaudhry claimed that the aggression was carried out in coordination with terrorist organizations, describing the Afghan regime as a “master proxy” providing shelter to militants operating against Pakistan. He said Pakistan responded forcefully, targeting positions in Kabul, Paktia, and Kandahar.

He added that Pakistan Air Force conducted airstrikes on 22 locations, while 115 tanks, armored vehicles, and APCs were destroyed. According to the DG ISPR, 18 Afghan posts are now under Pakistan’s control and 73 have been destroyed. He stated that militants fled the targeted areas, leaving behind bodies.

The military spokesperson also displayed videos of the strikes during the press conference. He reiterated allegations that the Afghan regime continues to back terrorist groups despite commitments made during the Doha Agreement, including assurances that Afghan soil would not be used against other countries.

Lt Gen Chaudhry said Pakistan has repeatedly urged the Afghan authorities to choose between supporting terrorists or maintaining relations with Pakistan. He concluded by honoring the sacrifices of the martyred soldiers, stating that the nation takes pride in its armed forces for successfully defending the country.
