Khyber Pakhtunkhwa National Awami Party Chairman Khushal Khan Kakak Claims State Policies Forcing Pashtuns into Migration, Appeals for Unity at Hyderabad Rally

**Hyderabad:** Khushal Khan Kakak, Chairman of the Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party (PNAP), addressed a large public gathering in Hyderabad, highlighting that oppressive state policies have forced millions of Pashtuns to migrate for work and livelihood. He emphasized the need for oppressed nations—including Pashtuns, Baloch, Sindhis, and Saraikis—to unite and form an effective alliance against exploitative rulers.

Kakak criticized the continued detention of Ali Wazir in Sindh, calling it an attempt to create misunderstandings between Pashtuns and Sindhis. He appealed to political parties in Sindh to collectively raise their voice for Wazir’s release and engage in joint protests.

Speaking at the rally organized by PNAP at Hala Naka, Kakak said, “The people of Pashtunkhwa have been subjected to terrorism imposed by the state and illegal seizure of our resources, leaving millions of Pashtuns compelled to seek work in Sindh, Punjab, and Arab countries.” He added that the dire economic situation prevents people from participating in social or cultural events, as many cannot even afford basic travel.

Kakak urged Pashtuns in Sindh to continue supporting their homeland’s national and liberation movements and appealed to Sindh’s people to reciprocate, calling it the path to national sovereignty. He also stressed the importance of a strong, empowered Senate, respect for national languages, and adherence to the principles outlined in the 1940 resolution regarding the empowerment of nations.

He condemned the division of Pashtunkhwa into multiple regions, the ongoing exploitation of the region’s rich minerals—including copper in Waziristan—and the lack of basic services such as electricity, gas, education, and employment opportunities for youth.

Concluding his speech, Kakak called on the Pashtun community to embrace national politics and reiterated that PNAP is the true representative of Pashtun aspirations. He emphasized the need for solidarity in seeking justice for Ali Wazir, whose family has endured eighteen funerals while he remains imprisoned for the past five years under baseless charges.

Key party leaders, including Khurshid Kakaji (Secretary General), Nasrullah Khan Zare (South Pashtunkhwa Provincial President), and other regional leaders, also addressed the gathering.
