Provision of Clean Drinking Water a Top Priority, No Lapses Will Be Tolerated: Parliamentary Secretary Mir Liaquat Laghari

**Quetta:** Parliamentary Secretary for Transport, Mir Liaquat Laghari, has emphasized that providing the public with safe drinking water is a top priority, and no negligence in this regard will be tolerated. He urged citizens to pay their WASA bills on time to enable the department to function effectively.
The statement came during a meeting with AEC Fared Muhammad Shahi, SDO Arif, and RO Imran Raisani, where issues such as water shortages, malfunctioning tube wells, and lack of access to clean drinking water in PB-43 were discussed.
Expressing concern over the public’s difficulties, Mir Liaquat Laghari said that ensuring basic water facilities is a shared responsibility of the government and relevant departments. He instructed officials to address water supply and tube well issues on a priority basis and implement practical solutions.
He also appealed to the public to submit their pending bills promptly, emphasizing that cooperation between citizens and institutions is key to effectively resolving water-related problems.
