Balochistan Health Care Commission Cracks Down on Illegal and Unsafe Medical Practices in Quetta

**Quetta:** The Balochistan Health Care Commission (BHCC) conducted an anti-quackery and enforcement operation in the Nawan Kali and Jail Road areas of Quetta to curb illegal and unsafe healthcare practices.
During the operation, fines were imposed on 2 dental clinics and 4 general practitioner (GP) clinics, while 1 laboratory and 2 GP clinics were issued notices for violations.
Dr. Basim Allah Khan Kakr, focal person for BHCC, stated that these actions were taken due to non-compliance with the BHCC Act 2019 and applicable regulations, including lack of registration and insufficient qualifications of medical staff.
He emphasized that the BHCC remains committed to maintaining minimum service delivery standards across Balochistan and ensuring patient safety. The public is encouraged to seek healthcare services only from BHCC-registered institutions.
