Balochistan Traders Demand Return of Seized Goods, Warn of Shutter-Down Strike

**Quetta:** The Central Balochistan Traders Association has issued a stern warning to customs authorities, demanding the immediate return of legally owned goods seized by officials. Speaking at a joint press conference at the Press Club, Association President Abdul Rahim Kakr, along with Yasin Mengal, Abdul Khaliq Agha, and Hazrat Ali Achakzai, urged the provincial government, Frontier Corps, and customs officials to take urgent notice of the “unjust actions” against traders.

Abdul Rahim Kakr emphasized that confiscation of lawful goods is unacceptable. He stated that if the seized items are not returned promptly, the Association will organize a series of protests, including a shutter-down strike across Balochistan and demonstrations in front of the central customs office. He made it clear that the responsibility for such actions would lie entirely with the customs authorities.

The press conference also highlighted the commitment of the Association to protect the legitimate rights of traders, calling on the provincial government and relevant institutions to take immediate action to resolve the matter. Abdul Rahim Kakr stressed that without the return of seized goods and restoration of traders’ rights, the Association will not hesitate to pursue protests and strikes as necessary.
