Balochistan Government Takes Concrete Steps to Equip Youth with Skills and Provide Dignified Employment, Says CM Mir Sarfaraz Bugti

**Quetta (Qudrat Daily):**
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has emphasized that the provincial government is taking practical and result-oriented measures to skill the youth and provide them with dignified employment opportunities.
The statement came during a high-level review meeting on the progress of the Chief Minister Youth Skills Development Program, held on Wednesday in Quetta under the chairmanship of CM Bugti. The meeting reviewed program implementation, pace, and future strategies. Senior officials from relevant departments and institutions, including Advisor on Labor and Manpower Sardar Ghulam Rasool Umrani, Chief Secretary Shakil Qadir Khan, Additional Chief Secretary Development Zahid Saleem, Principal Secretary Babar Khan, Secretary Labor and Manpower Niaz Muhammad Nichari, Secretary Finance Imran Zarkoon, Additional Secretary CM Secretariat Muhammad Faredoon, and Managing Director BTEVTA Hamood-ur-Rahman, attended the session.
During the meeting, it was noted that some firms responsible for program implementation have shown delays. CM Bugti expressed strong displeasure over the matter and directed action against the concerned firms, along with a full audit of payments already made. He stressed that negligence or delays in projects affecting youth futures would not be tolerated.
The meeting also highlighted that under the Government-to-Government (G2G) model, BTEVTA has formally applied for licenses from overseas employment promoters. This will allow BTEVTA to directly liaise with foreign embassies and effectively create overseas employment opportunities for the province’s youth.
Addressing the meeting, CM Bugti said that providing overseas employment opportunities would not only help youth improve their own and their families’ economic conditions but also contribute to bringing valuable foreign exchange to the country. He instructed that the training modules of the program be aligned with modern requirements, implementation be expedited, and results be ensured, emphasizing that the skills development program should serve as a foundation for a bright future for the youth rather than just another project.
The Chief Minister further directed all concerned departments to enhance inter-departmental coordination and ensure timely achievement of the program’s objectives.
