MQM Criticizes PTI for “Anti-Army Rhetoric,” Calls Decisions Incomprehensible and Alarming**

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) — MQM-P leaders have strongly condemned what they termed “baseless and irresponsible attacks” by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) against the Pakistan Army, stating that the party’s recent decisions are “beyond comprehension” and dangerous for national stability.

During a press conference in Karachi, MQM-P Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said the country cannot afford further political instability, noting that Pakistan has been in a prolonged crisis for over a decade. He claimed that MQM’s mandate was “stolen” in the 2018 elections, yet the party has continued to work for national unity and stability.

Siddiqui urged all political forces to unite against elements who are “conspiring against the country due to personal ego or external influence.” He stressed that any individual found involved in actions against Pakistan’s integrity must be exposed and resisted jointly by democratic forces.

He added that democracy is being misused by those who are harming Pakistan under its guise, emphasizing the need for a united struggle against any conspiracy targeting the state.

Siddiqui questioned PTI’s political behavior, stating that when PTI needed support during national crises, all political parties—including MQM—stood with them.
“Has any political party ever said it will not talk to other political actors while claiming to be a democratic force?” he asked.

He urged the government to thoroughly review anti-Pakistan campaigns being run from abroad, questioning whether these activities hint at a broader conspiracy.

### **“The Army Belongs to the Entire Nation, Not a Single Party”: Mustafa Kamal**

MQM-P leader Mustafa Kamal said the Pakistan Army belongs to the entire nation and has faced enemies “ten times bigger.” He said the army crushed India’s hostile ambitions and defeated its proxy warfare.

He added that Pakistan’s global reputation and the respect for the green passport have increased because of the army’s successes.
“India cannot defeat Pakistan’s armed forces, nor its leadership,” Kamal said.

Kamal accused PTI and its leadership of attempting to demoralize the military and create a false impression of distance between the army and the public. He said MQM fully rejects this narrative.

He warned PTI:
“Be grateful that the army is responding to your allegations only through press conferences. In the past, even lesser actions resulted in mothers searching for their missing sons for years.”

Kamal said Karachi has endured decades of turmoil and understands the consequences of political extremism. He reiterated that MQM criticizes in private but has never taken steps against national security or the armed forces.

He urged PTI to review its policies, saying the party expects generals to act according to its wishes, and labels them “wrong” if they disagree — an unacceptable attitude.

### **“KP Chief Minister Is Constantly Attacking the Army Leadership”: Farooq Sattar**

MQM-P leader Dr. Farooq Sattar said PTI’s politics is centered on hostility toward state institutions. He alleged that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister is persistently attacking Pakistan’s military leadership, harming the country’s reputation globally.

He reminded that Imran Khan was removed through a democratic process and that the only legitimate path to power is through constitutional elections.
“A Prime Minister is elected by Parliament, and governments are formed by public mandate,” he said.

Sattar criticized PTI’s 3.5 years of performance and questioned the governance of the PTI-led KP government. He warned that PTI’s current statements pose risks to national security.

He emphasized that freedom of speech must operate within constitutional limits, and no individual or party can be allowed to jeopardize national security for political gain.

Sattar accused PTI of prioritizing personal interests over national unity, damaging the country’s democratic fabric.
