Quetta Police Arrest Over 200 Suspects in Major Crackdown on Crime, Drugs, Illegal Arms and Vehicle Theft

QUETTA: Quetta Police have achieved significant breakthroughs in an extensive crackdown launched on **2 November 2025**, targeting drug dealers, criminal elements, illegal arms holders, motorcycle snatchers, street criminals, and violators of tenancy laws. More than **200 suspects** have been arrested during the operations.
According to police officials, action against narcotics resulted in the arrest of **21 drug peddlers**, with recoveries including **32.325 kg of charas**, **1 kg of heroin**, **36 cans of liquor**, and **18 beer bottles**.
In the campaign against illegal arms, **20 suspects** were apprehended, and police seized **20 pistols**, **20 magazines**, and **94 rounds**.
Efforts to curb motorcycle snatching and theft also proved effective. Police arrested **7 snatchers**, recovering **4 motorcycles** and **1 mobile phone**. Meanwhile, **8 suspects** involved in motorcycle theft were detained, leading to the recovery of **4 stolen motorcycles** and **1 loader rickshaw**.
Additionally, **22 individuals** were arrested for violating tenancy laws, while **9 non-custom-paid vehicles** were impounded. In operations targeting street crime, **11 suspects** were arrested, and police recovered **10 motorcycles** and **2 MX bikes**.
A crackdown on proclaimed offenders and absconders also continued, resulting in the arrest of **44 proclaimed offenders** and **70 absconders**. Over the last **15 days**, more than **1,400 Afghan migrants** were handed over to the Deputy Commissioner’s Office after legal processing.
Quetta Police reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining law and order, ensuring the safety of citizens, and continuing operations with a **strict zero-tolerance policy** against crime.
