Partial Easing of Public Transport Ban in Kalat Division Announced

Quetta: Authorities in Balochistan have partially lifted the complete ban on public transport in the Kalat Division, allowing limited and regulated operations to ease public difficulties.
Assistant to the Home Department Babar Khan Yousafzai said the decision was taken on the directives of Provincial Interior Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove and Additional Chief Secretary Home Hamza Shafqaat.
Under the revised policy, inter-district buses, vans, and coaches will now operate in a restricted and regulated manner, with each district administration determining routes, timings, and the number of vehicles based on the security situation.
Authorities emphasized strict compliance with safety measures, including avoiding overcrowding in vehicles. Law enforcement agencies have been tasked with ensuring strict implementation and monitoring of the restrictions.
Emergency services, including ambulances and government vehicles, will continue to operate with prior approval from the relevant deputy commissioner.
Transporters and terminal operators have been directed to fully cooperate with district administrations and law enforcement agencies. Public awareness regarding these measures will be ensured through media and local announcements.
Officials stated that the order has come into immediate effect and will remain in place until further notice, urging citizens to follow official guidelines to ensure safety for themselves and others.
