Quetta Division Orders Crackdown on Illegal Arms, Unregistered Vehicles, and Suspected Militants’ Profiling

*Islamabad (Daily Qudrat)* — Commissioner Quetta Division **Shahzeb Khan Kakar** chaired a high-level meeting of the **Divisional Monitoring Committee**, directing strict action against illegal weapons, unregistered vehicles, and the profiling of suspected militants and their facilitators.
The meeting was attended by **Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini**, **Lt. Col. Muhammad Asif Khan (Anti-Narcotics Force Balochistan)**, **Assistant Commissioner Political Quetta Division Syed Kaleemullah**, and senior officials from **Excise and Taxation, Customs, Special Branch, and Police Administration**.
The session reviewed progress reports of **District Implementation Committees**, including the **BISA dashboard complaint uploads**, **terror suspects’ profiling**, **updating of the Fourth Schedule**, and the crackdown on the **illegal use and transport of small arms (SMAs)**.
Commissioner Kakar instructed district administrations to **submit monthly performance reports** and ensure **timely entry of public complaints and security information** into the **Balochistan Information & Security Application (BISA)** database for transparency and traceability. IT and digital teams were directed to keep the dashboard updated and provide technical assistance.
The meeting emphasized close coordination between **law enforcement agencies and district administrations** to strengthen the **security database** through accurate profiling of **suspected terrorist elements and their potential accomplices**. Particular focus was placed on **upgrading the Fourth Schedule lists** to align with current security assessments.
Officials were also directed to launch a **targeted crackdown** on **illegal firearms**, ensuring confiscation and legal proceedings through coordinated efforts with local police and district teams.
The Commissioner further ordered **investigations and disciplinary action** against **teachers or education department staff involved in unlawful activities**, stressing the need to protect the educational environment. Action against **chronic absenteeism**, replacement of missing staff, and reactivation of **closed or semi-functional schools and Basic Health Units (BHUs)** was also reviewed.
Reports on **rehabilitated schools, student and teacher returns, staffing, and medical service restoration** at health centers were presented.
Additionally, the meeting decided to **intensify inspections and monitoring** of **government and private hostels** to ensure compliance with safety and registration standards, while **measures to improve seizure and penalization of unregistered or illegal vehicles** were also approved.
Deputy Commissioners briefed the meeting on **anti-narcotics operations, recruitment of teachers, reopening of inactive schools, and enforcement actions against absentee staff and illegal vehicles** across their respective districts.
