Two Explosions Target Security Checkpost on Quetta’s Western Bypass; No Casualties Reported

**Quetta (Qudrat Daily):**
Two explosions occurred near a **security forces’ checkpost on the Western Bypass in Quetta’s outskirts** on Monday, police confirmed.

According to a **Quetta police spokesperson**, unidentified assailants **launched a UBGL (Under-Barrel Grenade Launcher) gas grenade attack** on an **FC (Frontier Corps) checkpost** and attempted to flee the scene. Fortunately, **no casualties or injuries were reported** in the incident.

Security forces **responded swiftly**, cordoning off the area and launching a **search operation** to trace the attackers. The **Counter Terrorism Department (CTD)** has also been **activated to assist in the investigation**, the spokesperson added.

To ensure public safety, **additional police contingents have been deployed** in the area, and security has been placed on **high alert** across nearby checkpoints.

Authorities are continuing to **collect evidence** and **examine the site** to determine the nature of the explosives and identify those responsible.
