Saudi Cabinet Welcomes Launch of ‘Economic Cooperation Framework’ with Pakistan

**Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) –** The Saudi Cabinet has welcomed the launch of the *Economic Cooperation Framework* between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, describing it as an extension of ongoing efforts to strengthen the brotherly relations between the two nations.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Cabinet emphasized that the framework reflects a shared vision for establishing a sustainable partnership across various economic, trade, and investment sectors. It expressed optimism that the initiative will create new opportunities for mutual trade and economic growth benefiting both countries and their people.
The meeting, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh on Tuesday, also extended gratitude to leaders and government heads from friendly and brotherly nations who participated in the ninth edition of the *Future Investment Initiative (FII) Conference*.
Cabinet members expressed hope that the conference would contribute significantly to strengthening international cooperation and shaping practical strategies for global development and prosperity.
Information Minister Salman Al-Dosari stated that the meeting reviewed the outcomes of recent discussions between Saudi Arabia and several countries, aimed at expanding cooperation across various fields and enhancing coordination on global challenges.
The Cabinet also approved certain amendments to regulations concerning services provided to foreign Hajj pilgrims.
Additionally, members reviewed regional and international developments and reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s firm support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The session also welcomed the ceasefire agreement between Thailand and Cambodia, describing it as a vital step toward sustainable peace between the two nations.
The Cabinet reviewed progress on partnerships with international organizations and announced that Saudi Arabia will host the *UNCTAD Global Supply Chain Forum* in 2026.
It also welcomed the successful hosting of the *Global Health Forum* in Riyadh and the announcement of SAR 124 billion in new healthcare investments, expected to advance innovation and medical solutions across the Kingdom.
The meeting reviewed recent economic indicators highlighting continued growth in non-oil exports, which were praised as evidence of the Kingdom’s progress toward a diversified and sustainable economy.
The Cabinet also commended the launch of new renewable energy projects totaling 4,500 megawatts with investments exceeding SAR 9 billion and discussed recommendations from the Shura Council and other high-level bodies.
Furthermore, the session approved several memorandums of understanding (MoUs) to enhance bilateral cooperation with various countries.
