Saudi Arabia and Other Arab Nations Celebrate Eid al-Adha Today

Makkah:Eid al-Adha is being celebrated today in Saudi Arabia and several other Arab countries. The largest congregational prayers for Eid will take place at the **Grand Mosque (Masjid al-Haram)** in Makkah and the **Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid al-Nabawi)** in Madinah.
Pilgrims, after spending the night at **Muzdalifah**, will proceed to **Mina** where they will perform the symbolic act of throwing pebbles at the **Jamarat**, known as stoning the **biggest devil (Shaytan)**. Additionally, the pilgrims will offer animal sacrifices, shave their heads, and remove their **Ihram** as they complete their pilgrimage.
On the occasion of Eid, leaders from various Islamic countries are sending congratulatory messages to the **Saudi leadership**.
Earlier on Thursday, over **1.6 million pilgrims** performed the **Ruqn-e-Azam (the pivotal rite of Hajj)**, **standing at Arafat** (Wuquf-e-Arafat). Special prayers were offered for the **Palestinians** during the ceremony.
**Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah**, Imam of the **Grand Mosque**, prayed, saying: “O Allah, grant victory to our brothers in Palestine over their enemies.”
Eid al-Adha marks the culmination of the **Hajj** and a moment of unity for Muslims worldwide, reaffirming faith, and promoting solidarity with those in need.
