Rapid Progress on Punjab Development Projects; Multiple Highways Restored

Lahore: Accelerated work continues on development projects announced by the Chief Minister of Punjab, with the Communications Department completing the restoration of several highways across the province.
A key meeting, chaired by Provincial Minister for Communications and Construction Malik Sohail Ahmed Bhurath, reviewed ongoing and completed projects. Officials briefed the minister on highways in Lahore, Jhelum, Khushab, Pakpattan, Muzaffargarh, Murree, Attock, Bahawalnagar, and Dera Ghazi Khan.
Malik Sohail Ahmed Bhurath stated that rapid progress is being made on the 13-kilometer Lahore project from Wagah Border to Quaid-e-Azam Interchange. In Pakpattan, multiple highways spanning 360 kilometers have been restored at a cost of PKR 9 billion.
He added that work is advancing swiftly on the Sahiwal-Arifwala-Bahawalnagar mega project, costing PKR 7.6 billion, while reconstruction of Mahmood Kot Road in Muzaffargarh has been completed. Installation of digital signboards in Murree is also finished.
In Attock, restoration of 352 kilometers of highways is complete, while 227 kilometers of roads in Bahawalnagar have been rebuilt. In the Dera Ghazi Khan division, 913 kilometers of highways have been restored at a cost of PKR 23 billion.
The provincial minister emphasized that, in line with the Chief Minister’s vision, the mission of construction and development in Punjab continues at a rapid pace.
