PkMAP Announces Grand Rally in Quetta on December 2 to Mark 52nd Anniversary of Khan Shaheed Abdul Samad Achakzai

QUETTA: The Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) has announced a grand public rally in Quetta on **December 2, 2025**, to mark the **52nd death anniversary** of nationalist leader **Khan Shaheed Abdul Samad Khan Achakzai**, party officials said after a provincial executives meeting held at the party’s central secretariat.

The meeting, chaired by provincial president **Abdul Qahar Khan Wadan**, was attended by senior leaders including central General Secretary **Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal**, Additional Secretary Finance **Agha Syed Liaquat Ali**, central secretary **Dr. Hamid Khan Achakzai**, Secretary **Abdul Haq Abdal** and other provincial executives.

Speakers at the session decided on the large-scale rally to be held in Quetta and directed the party’s organizational wings and workers to begin preparations immediately. Party leaders instructed activists to run a door-to-door public outreach campaign and to invite people from all walks of life to attend, saying their workers should work “day and night” to ensure the event’s success.

Addressing the meeting, Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal, Dr. Hamid Khan Achakzai and Qahar Khan Wadan recalled Khan Shaheed’s legacy and criticized what they described as ongoing threats to democratic and federal principles since the creation of Pakistan. They said the struggle to defend the constitution continued and lauded the movement led by **Mahmood Khan Achakzai** for forming the largest opposition alliance, the **Movement for the Protection of the Constitution of Pakistan**.

Speakers warned parties and forces that remained silent or complicit during alleged constitutional violations would ultimately be held accountable by the country’s 250 million people. They also highlighted the country’s multiple crises — economic collapse, international isolation and erosion of national dignity — saying these problems had sapped public morale and driven genuine democratic activists to place their hopes in Mahmood Khan Achakzai.

The provincial cabinet of the party urged its cadres to revive public confidence and mobilize support with the same spirit shown during earlier democratic movements. The party said the December 2 rally would send a message of hope to democratic forces and called on the public to join and expose the alleged failures of the current rulers.
