Quetta Local Body Elections Delayed, Public Assets Misused Under SAFa Project: Aslam Baloch

Aslam Baloch, Provincial President of the National Party, has called on the provincial government to immediately ensure the conduct of local body elections in Quetta, emphasizing that local governance is the foundation of any democratic society and essential for addressing public issues at the grassroots level.
Speaking at a press conference at Quetta Press Club alongside National Party leaders including MNA Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch, Khair Jan Baloch, Kalsoom Niaz Baloch, Mir Ataullah Bangalzai, and Dr. Ishaq, he criticized the deliberate delays in holding elections in Quetta, calling them contrary to democratic principles.
He accused those avoiding the elections of being rejected individuals unwilling to face the public mandate. Furthermore, Aslam Baloch condemned the misuse of public assets under the guise of the SAFa project, describing it as a blatant exploitation of community resources.
He warned that if the provincial government fails to announce elections promptly, the National Party will initiate a protest movement to demand the restoration of democratic processes and safeguard public interests.
