Major Crackdown on Corruption in Balochistan: Assets of Grade 16–21 Officers to Be Investigated

Quetta: The Balochistan government has launched a **major crackdown on corruption and illegal assets**, ordering a comprehensive investigation into the **properties and financial holdings of all government officers from Grade 16 to Grade 21**.
According to official sources, all officers have been directed to **submit details of their and their family members’ assets**, including houses, farmhouses, bank accounts, and any properties owned abroad. The move follows reports that a large number of government officials in Balochistan are allegedly involved in corruption and possess assets far beyond their known sources of income.
Under the government’s directive, officers are required to provide complete information regarding:
* Residential houses, farmhouses, and other properties
* All bank accounts and current balances
* Number of vehicles registered under their or their family members’ names
* Details of assets and properties held abroad
* Information about dual nationality
Sources revealed that the collected data will be **cross-verified by intelligence and investigative agencies**, which will conduct independent inquiries and prepare a comprehensive report for the provincial government.
The government has also warned that any **officer found guilty of concealing information or providing false details** will face strict legal action under existing anti-corruption laws.
Officials have described this initiative as a **significant step toward transparency and accountability** within the provincial bureaucracy and a strong message against misuse of public office.
