Emotional Twist in Degari Double Murder Case: Victim’s Children and Family Break Silence

Quetta: The Degari double murder case in Balochistan has taken a dramatic and emotional turn, as the children and close relatives of the slain woman, Bano Bibi, have come forward with significant revelations that contradict prevailing narratives.
Speaking to the media, Bano Bibi’s elder son stated that his mother did not cry or show fear but faced death with courage. “Before leaving, she told us to take care of ourselves and our father,” he shared emotionally. Her youngest son, six-year-old Zakir Ahmed, innocently said, “Mama has gone to perform Hajj.”
Bano Bibi’s sister and paternal aunt revealed that she deeply regretted her “mistake” and had wanted to end her life out of shame before her family and tribe. However, according to them, a man named Ihsanullah forced her to flee, suggesting she had been manipulated rather than acting on her own free will.
The family strongly rejected social media narratives suggesting Bano Bibi had eloped for a “love marriage.” Her elder sister criticized the media for promoting false information that distorts the real story.
Identity documents of Bano Bibi and her husband Noor Muhammad have also surfaced. According to these, Bano Bibi was 40 years old, while her husband was 38. The couple had five children: 15-year-old Noor Ahmed, 14-year-old Basit Khan, 10-year-old Bibi Fatima, 7-year-old Bibi Sadiqa, and 6-year-old Zakir Ahmed.
Police sources report that two suspects are currently in custody on a ten-day physical remand. Bano Bibi’s mother has also been arrested and handed over to the Serious Crimes Investigation Wing on a two-day remand. Court proceedings are ongoing.
The case has caused widespread shock across Quetta and Balochistan, while speculation and new theories continue to emerge on social media.
