Taliban’s Broken Promises Fueling Instability in Region, Surrender Not in Pakistan’s Dictionary: Bilawal Bhutto

Islamabad: Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has stated that the Taliban government’s repeated violations of commitments are contributing to regional instability. Speaking at the opening session of the international conference titled “Pakistan’s War Against Terrorism: A Message to the World” organized by the Islamabad Policy Research Institute, Bilawal emphasized that surrender is not part of Pakistan’s vocabulary.
He called on the interim Afghan government to honor its commitments made under the Doha Agreement, stressing that broken promises by the Taliban are endangering peace across the region.
“We will defeat terrorism for the secure future of our next generations,” Bilawal affirmed during his address.
The PPP chairman also urged India to engage in meaningful dialogue with Pakistan for long-term peace and stability. He highlighted the need for resolving the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and condemned the weaponization of water resources.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari outlined Pakistan’s major achievements in the fight against terrorism, noting the high cost paid in terms of human lives and economic losses. He urged the international community to learn from Pakistan’s experience and contributions in combating terrorism.
“Terrorists have no nationality, religion, caste, or creed. They do not abide by any laws,” he said, underlining the importance of collective global efforts to eradicate terrorism.
