Turkey Denies Claims of Military Aid to Pakistan Amidst Indian Propaganda

New Delhi: A new round of baseless allegations and accusations by India has been debunked, this time by Turkey rather than Pakistan. Indian media attempted once again to cast a negative light on the defense cooperation between Pakistan, Turkey, and China. They falsely claimed that Turkey and China were allegedly supplying weapons to Pakistan to prepare for war against India.
Indian media and social media accounts claimed that on April 28, a Turkish Air Force C-130E Hercules aircraft landed in Karachi, supposedly carrying arms. Some sources went as far as to claim that not just one, but six Turkish fighter jets had landed in Pakistan, a completely fabricated and unfounded accusation.
However, the Turkish Directorate of Communications quickly rejected this propaganda, clarifying that the Turkish aircraft was only in Pakistan to refuel before continuing on its journey. They further emphasized that information from unauthorized sources should not be trusted.
Pakistan’s security sources also denied these allegations from Indian media. Following their failure in spreading this false narrative, the Indian media and government seem to be in disarray, fearing possible retaliation from Pakistan.
The Indian media is particularly struggling to accept that Pakistan’s defense allies, Turkey and China, have publicly announced their support for Pakistan, particularly regarding the Kashmir issue. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan recently reaffirmed Turkey’s support for the Kashmir issue and for negotiations under the supervision of the United Nations, stating that Turkey will continue to support the right to self-determination for the Kashmiri people.
At the same time, reports of China supplying Pakistan with long-range PL-15 missiles have stirred alarm in Indian media. Since 2021, defense cooperation between Pakistan and Turkey has deeply concerned India. Turkish drones, such as the Bayraktar TB2 and Akıncı, have become a crucial part of Pakistan’s defense strategy, being used effectively for both internal security and regional operations.
Furthermore, Pakistan and Turkey are jointly developing the Fifth-Generation Fighter Jet KAAN, and their collaboration also includes new-generation missiles, anti-tank weapons, submarines, and naval ships. India is particularly alarmed by Pakistan’s strengthened military partnerships with major Muslim nations, based not only on defense but also on ideological alignment.
Defense experts suggest that India has become so fearful of Pakistan’s growing ties with Turkey and China that even the smallest of actions are being portrayed as war conspiracies. The reality is that Pakistan, as a sovereign nation, has the right to seek defense cooperation with any country it deems fit.
The sole aim of this false propaganda is to tarnish Pakistan’s image internationally and weaken its growing influence in the Islamic world. However, as has been the case in the past, these attempts are once again doomed to failure.
