Muscat, Oman:In a bid to prevent a new conflict in the Middle East, **the United States and Iran are set to hold critical negotiations today in Oman**, focusing on the possibility of a new nuclear deal.
According to Iranian media, the talks will be **indirect**, with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister **Abbas Araghchi** and U.S. envoy **Steve Wutke (Stewart Wutke)** participating. However, in a contrasting statement, **White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt** claimed the talks would be **direct**.
Adding to the diplomatic intensity, **Wutke arrived in Oman after holding a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin**, suggesting a broader international engagement.
