Surplus Teachers in Panjgur Due to Ghost Employee Appointments, Educational Activities Affected

Panjgur (Correspondent) – A recent revelation has exposed the issue of surplus teachers in Panjgur district, linked to the previous recruitment of ghost employees. According to sources, many teachers in the district are now considered surplus due to the non-replacement of teachers who have retired, leading to a shortage of educators in several government schools. This shortage is severely affecting educational activities and the functioning of these schools.

In an effort to promote the “Khatta System,” many teachers have been transferred from their original posting locations and attached to other positions, leaving schools understaffed. As a result, dozens of schools are either closed or non-functional, disrupting the academic process.

Repeated attempts to get a statement from the District Education Officer (DEO) of Panjgur were unsuccessful, as the officer could not be reached. Sources revealed that since the transfer of the previous DEO, no replacement has been appointed, further compounding the issue. Despite the government’s claims of educational emergencies, the reality in Panjgur is starkly different, with numerous schools either closed or inoperative.

Reports also indicate that in many schools, teachers’ positions are being filled by temporary staff, while several government schools are in such a dilapidated state that they resemble ruins. If this situation persists, Panjgur’s educational system will face further decline.

Local residents have urged the authorities to end political interference and stop granting political shelter to teachers, in order to ensure improvements in the education system.
