Karachi: Water Tanker and Mazda Collide in Separate Traffic Accidents, Two Dead

Karachi: In a series of tragic traffic accidents across the city, two individuals lost their lives, one in a collision between a motorcycle and a Mazda passenger vehicle, and the other after being hit by a water tanker.
Accident Near Orangi Town Claims Woman’s Life
A fatal accident occurred near Orangi Town Number 5, where a woman was killed after a Mazda passenger vehicle collided with her motorcycle. According to police, the woman, identified as 45-year-old Amber, was traveling with her husband on the motorcycle when the Mazda crashed into them. While Amber died at the scene, her husband miraculously survived. The body of the deceased was transferred to Jinnah Hospital by Edhi Ambulance. Police arrested the Mazda driver, Aslam, and seized the vehicle for further investigation.
Water Tanker Hits Motorcyclist in Defence, Driver Flees
In another incident, a motorcyclist was killed near Defence Mor when a water tanker ran over him. The victim, identified as 55-year-old Sabir Hussain, was struck by the tanker and died instantly. The driver of the water tanker fled the scene. Police are attempting to collect CCTV footage to determine whether the motorcyclist collided with the tanker or if the tanker hit him. An investigation is underway.
Heavy Mixer Truck Collides with Multiple Vehicles on Lyari Expressway
Meanwhile, a heavy mixer truck caused a pile-up on the Lyari Expressway, damaging several vehicles. The truck’s windows were shattered in the collision. No casualties were reported, and the truck driver was taken into custody by police at the scene.
Minor Collision Between School Van and Bus in Korangi
In another incident, a school van and a red bus collided near Chiniot Hospital in Korangi. Both vehicles sustained damage, but fortunately, no one was injured in the crash.
Authorities are continuing to investigate these accidents as part of ongoing efforts to improve road safety in the city.
