‘If Sindh Is Weakened, Pakistan Will Be Weakened’: Rashid Mahmood Soomro
HYDERABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Allama Rashid Mahmood Soomro has said that weakening Sindh would ultimately weaken Pakistan.
Speaking to the media in Hyderabad, Soomro said the people of Sindh had rejected the proposal for new provinces in the past and continued to reject it today.
“If Sindh is weakened, Pakistan will be weakened,” he said.
Soomro also criticised the Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) and the provincial government, holding both responsible for alleged irregularities in the commission’s examination process.
He said that only 70 candidates were selected from around 25,000 applicants who appeared in the commission’s examination.
“Tell us who the candidates selected by the commission belong to,” he demanded, calling for transparency regarding the selection process.
