ANP-Backed Malgari Wakeelan Lead KP Bar Council Elections with 13 Seats

Peshawar: The **non-final results** of the **Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council elections** have been announced, showing **ANP-affiliated Malgari Wakeelan** securing a **clear lead** with **13 out of 28 seats** across the province.
Malgari Wakeelan candidates achieved notable victories in **Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, Swat, and Karak**, consolidating their position as the dominant group in the provincial bar elections.
In **Peshawar**, where seven seats were contested, **Malgari Wakeelan** won **four**, while the **Insaf Lawyers Forum (ILF)** secured **two**, and **one independent candidate** emerged victorious.
According to the unofficial tally, Malgari Wakeelan’s **Hazar Hayat** received **926 votes**, **Fazal Wahid** 893, **Rafiq Mehmood** 861, and **Babar Khan Yousafzai** 792. From ILF, **Sophia Noreen** and **Ali Zaman** won their seats with **880** and **875 votes**, respectively, while **independent candidate Muhammad Saeed** won with **828 votes**.
In other districts, the **People’s Lawyers Forum (PLF)** secured victories through **Saeed Hakeem in Buner** and **Hashmat in Dera Ismail Khan**. The **JUI-affiliated Jamiat Lawyers Forum’s** **Fawad Khan** and **Waqar ul Malik** also won their respective seats.
Meanwhile, **Muhammad Ali Khan** from **Abbottabad** (supported by Muslim Lawyers Forum) and **Ikram Hussain** from **Chitral** (Islamic Lawyers Forum) were declared successful. Among independent candidates, **Fida Gul Afridi** stood out with a strong performance.
