Two Women Killed, Child and Man Injured in Armed Attack on Zhob-Karachi Bound Vehicle

KALAT:Two women were killed while a child and a man sustained injuries after unidentified armed men allegedly opened fire on a passenger vehicle near **Khad Kocha** on the Quetta-Karachi National Highway, officials said.
According to initial reports, the vehicle was travelling from **Zhob to Karachi** when armed men, who had allegedly set up a road blockade on the highway, signaled the driver to stop. The driver, reportedly panicking, did not halt the vehicle and continued driving, prompting the assailants to open fire.
The shooting left **two women dead at the scene**, while a child and another passenger were injured.
The victims were shifted to **Civil Hospital Kalat**, where the deceased were taken for legal formalities and the injured received initial medical treatment before being referred to **Quetta** for further care.
According to local sources, the bodies of the deceased were later transported to **Zhob** for burial. The victims reportedly belonged to **Killi Apozai** and were members of the **Mandokhail tribe**.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, while efforts are underway to identify and trace those responsible for the attack.
