PKMAP Delegation Condoles Families of Ziarat Police Martyrs, Begins Preparations for August ‘Ulasi Jirga’
QUETTA: A delegation of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP), led by Central General Secretary Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal, visited the families of police personnel killed in the Ziarat tragedy to offer condolences and announced preparations for an “Ulasi Jirga” (People’s Grand Assembly) aimed at addressing the province’s current challenges.
The delegation, comprising central and provincial party leaders along with district representatives, visited Ziarat, Sanjavi, and Loralai, where they offered prayers for the deceased and expressed sympathy with the bereaved families.
Speaking during the visits, Ziaratwal praised the patience and perseverance shown by the families of the victims during their peaceful protest and sit-in held at Quetta’s Coal Phatak. He said the sacrifices of the fallen police personnel would always be remembered and that the nation would remain indebted to them.
He emphasized that the sacrifices of the martyrs called for unity, discipline, and collective efforts to promote peace, harmony, and solidarity while safeguarding the rights, resources, and interests of the people.
Ziaratwal said the current situation required greater unity and cooperation among the people. Referring to earlier announcements by PKMAP Chairman Mahmood Khan Achakzai, who also heads the Tehreek Tahafuz-e-Ayeen Pakistan and serves as the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, and the party’s Central Secretary Nawab Ayaz Khan Jogezai, he said preparations should begin immediately for an Ulasi Jirga planned for August in Southern Pashtunkhwa.
According to the party, the proposed gathering is intended to discuss the prevailing situation and explore ways to address the challenges facing the region.
The delegation assured the families of the victims of its continued support and prayed for the departed souls, asking for strength and patience for their loved ones and lasting peace, stability, and unity in the region.
