From Buddhism to Islam: Sheikh Hussain Yee’s Inspiring Journey Continues to Captivate Millions

KUALA LUMPUR: The inspiring story of renowned Malaysian Islamic scholar and preacher Sheikh Hussain Yee’s conversion to Islam has once again gained widespread attention on social media, highlighting his remarkable spiritual journey from Buddhism to becoming one of the world’s most respected Islamic speakers.
Born into a Chinese Buddhist family in Malaysia, Sheikh Hussain Yee explored various religions during his youth in search of spiritual fulfillment. He studied Christianity in depth but found that it did not provide the spiritual satisfaction he was seeking. His quest for truth eventually led him to study Islam extensively.

Today, Sheikh Hussain Yee is internationally recognized as a prominent Islamic scholar and preacher. He is the founder and president of Al-Khadim, an Islamic organization based in Malaysia that focuses on education and community outreach.
He has also served as a counselor and preacher for PERKIM, an organization dedicated to supporting new Muslims in Malaysia. Additionally, from 1984 to 1985, he served as the Director of Dawah at the Hong Kong Islamic Centre.
