Fuel Supply Reduced to Petrol Pumps in Punjab, Dealers Claim

Lahore:** The Petroleum Dealers Association (Central Punjab) has claimed that oil marketing companies have significantly reduced fuel supplies to petrol stations across the province, raising concerns about potential shortages.

In a statement, Association President **Chaudhry Nauman Majeed** said petrol pumps in Lahore received only **50% of the required fuel supply** on Wednesday. He attributed the reduction to rising global crude oil prices.

According to Majeed, the limited supply has affected nearly **90% of petrol stations in rural areas** and around **50% of outlets in urban areas**.

Meanwhile, oil marketing companies said delays in customs clearance have disrupted fuel deliveries. They urged the **Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA)** to ensure the uninterrupted availability of petroleum products across the country.

The companies also argued that a system of **daily changes in petroleum prices** is impractical, saying such frequent revisions are neither in the public interest nor conducive to business operations.
