Balochistan CM Approves Naming Road After Martyred Professor Nazma Talib in Quetta

Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has approved naming the road in front of the Government Postgraduate Girls College, Quetta Cantonment, as “Shaheed Professor Nazma Talib Road” in recognition of the late professor’s distinguished services to education and her sacrifice in the line of duty.

Adviser to the Chief Minister on Information and Political Affairs Shahid Rind said the decision was made on the chief minister’s instructions to ensure that the legacy of Shaheed Professor Nazma Talib is permanently honored.

According to Rind, the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister has formally written to the Secretary of Local Government, directing the completion of the necessary legal and administrative procedures for the renaming of the road.

He said Professor Nazma Talib made significant contributions to the education sector and paid the ultimate sacrifice while performing her professional duties. The Balochistan government regards her sacrifice with the highest respect and considers her life an inspiration for future generations.

Rind added that naming public places after national heroes, martyrs, and distinguished personalities is a meaningful way to recognize their contributions while promoting patriotism, public service, and selflessness among the youth.

He reaffirmed that the Balochistan government will continue taking practical steps to honor martyrs, educators, and individuals who have rendered outstanding services to society, ensuring that their contributions are remembered for generations to come.
