Iran Declares U.S. Memorandum of Understanding Void, Vows Strong Response to Any Attack

Tehran:** Iran has announced that it no longer considers itself bound by the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) reached with the United States, warning that any future American attack will be met with a strong and decisive response.
According to Iran’s state broadcaster IRIB, Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said Iran is no longer obligated to implement the MoU with Washington.
Referring to remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump, Gharibabadi stated that the United States not only violated the agreement but effectively terminated it through its own actions.
He added that failure to implement even a single key provision would have been sufficient to invalidate the entire memorandum, while accusing the United States of breaching all of its commitments under the agreement.
Gharibabadi said that under such circumstances, Iran is no longer required to adhere to the memorandum, describing it as “a thing of the past.” He added that Tehran will make future decisions based solely on its national interests.
The statement comes as fighting between Iran and the United States has reportedly resumed following a brief ceasefire, with both sides continuing to exchange attacks.
