Operation Shaaban Intensifies in Balochistan as Eight Militants Killed in Two Intelligence-Based Operations
Quetta: Joint counterterrorism Operation Shaaban, conducted by the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan, and Balochistan Police, has intensified across the province, with security sources claiming that eight militants were killed in two separate intelligence-based operations on Monday.
According to security sources, the first operation resulted in the deaths of five militants, while three more were killed in a second operation carried out in another area. The operations reportedly involved both air and ground forces and targeted militant hideouts based on intelligence information.
Security sources said the latest operations have raised the number of militants killed under Operation Shaaban to 79.
They further claimed that since the launch of Operation Shaaban and other intelligence-based operations on July 5, a total of 117 militants have been killed across Balochistan.
The sources also stated that security forces recovered a large cache of weapons, ammunition, explosives, and other military equipment from the targeted locations.
According to the security sources, Operation Shaaban will continue with full intensity until militancy is eliminated from Balochistan, with the Pakistan Army, FC, and police continuing coordinated air and ground operations against suspected militant hideouts.
