Main Accused Farrukh Khokhar Sentenced to Life Imprisonment in Majid Satti Murder Case

RAWALPINDI: An Additional District and Sessions Court in Rawalpindi has sentenced the main accused, Farrukh Khokhar, to life imprisonment in the high-profile Majid Satti murder case.
The verdict was announced by Additional District and Sessions Judge Afshan Ijaz Safi. Following the ruling, Farrukh Khokhar was immediately arrested inside the courtroom, handcuffed, and ordered to be transferred to Adiala Jail under strict security arrangements.
The court also issued its detailed judgment, sentencing co-accused Ameer Hamza and Haider Nawaz to life imprisonment as well. Each of the three convicts was also fined Rs1 million, and all were shifted to Adiala Jail after the verdict.
Reacting to the decision, Farrukh Khokhar claimed he had been wrongfully convicted, insisting that he was not present at the scene of the crime. He described the verdict as politically motivated and said he had instructed his lawyers to challenge the judgment in a higher court.
Farrukh Khokhar, son of the late political figure Taji Khokhar, had resigned from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) before joining Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI). The deceased, Majid Satti, was reportedly affiliated with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
