Earthquake Tremors Felt in Various Regions of Pakistan, Panic Among Public
Intensity Recorded at 5.4 on the Richter Scale

Islamabad: Strong earthquake tremors were felt across several regions of Pakistan, including the federal capital, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan, causing widespread panic among the public. People rushed out of their homes, reciting prayers in fear.
According to the Earthquake Monitoring Centre, the earthquake’s magnitude was recorded at 5.4 on the Richter scale. The quake’s depth was 122 kilometers, and its epicenter was located in the Hindu Kush region, 102 kilometers from Bajaur.
The tremors were felt in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Peshawar, Haripur, Abbottabad, Charsadda, Swat (Mingora), Hazara Division, various areas of Gilgit-Baltistan, and the Hattian Bala, Jhelum Valley, and Chakkar regions of Azad Kashmir. Heavy rainfall was also reported in Islamabad at the time of the quake.
In addition to Pakistan, earthquake tremors were also felt in Afghanistan and Tajikistan, as well as in Gilgit-Baltistan’s Ghizer district.
There have been no immediate reports of casualties or property damage, but the public remains on high alert due to the widespread fear caused by the earthquake.
