Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has introduced a new Tourist Package Visa for citizens of Pakistan and six other countries as part of its efforts to boost tourism under the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 strategy.
Saudi Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb said the Kingdom has significantly simplified travel procedures since the launch of Vision 2030 by introducing facilities such as the electronic tourist visa (e-Visa), visa on arrival, and transit visa options.
According to the Ministry of Tourism, the newly launched Tourist Package Visa is being introduced as a pilot service. The facility is currently available for travelers from Pakistan, Mexico, Indonesia, and Egypt.
The ministry added that the Tourist Package Visa will also be available for citizens of India, Bangladesh, and Jordan.
Under the new initiative, visas will be issued within a maximum of 48 hours after the purchase of an eligible travel package, making the application process faster and more convenient for visitors.
