Imprisoned PTI Leaders Express Concern Over Party Founder’s Health in Joint Statement

Islamabad: Several jailed leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), currently held at Kot Lakhpat Jail, have issued a joint statement through their lawyer expressing concern over the health of the party’s founder.
The statement was issued on behalf of Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Yasmin Rashid, Umar Sarfraz Cheema, Mian Mahmood ur Rasheed, and Ejaz Chaudhry.
In the statement, the leaders expressed serious concern about the health of the PTI founder, citing reports of an eye-related medical issue and expressing concern over his reported conditions of detention, including alleged solitary confinement.
They urged the party leadership and the PTI founder’s family not to miss any opportunity to meet him and assess his well-being.
The statement further said that whoever is proposed to meet the PTI founder should receive the support of all concerned so that his condition can be independently verified.
The statement reflects the position of the imprisoned PTI leaders. Authorities have not publicly responded to the claims regarding the PTI founder’s health or detention conditions.
