Russian Missile and Drone Strikes on Kyiv Kill at Least Eight, Ukraine Says

Kyiv:At least **eight people were killed** and more than **34 others injured** after Russia launched a new wave of missile and drone attacks on Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, according to Ukrainian officials.

The Ukrainian military said the strikes hit residential areas, while local authorities reported that a hotel caught fire and a six-story apartment building collapsed following the attacks.

Emergency crews were deployed to rescue survivors and clear debris as damage assessments continued across affected parts of the city.

Meanwhile, Russia’s Ministry of Defense said its forces had targeted airports in Ukraine’s **Dnipropetrovsk** and **Poltava** regions during the latest round of military operations.
