Tauqeer Haider and Farah Saadia Deny Marriage Rumors, Urge Content Creators to Act Responsibly
ISLAMABAD: Veteran Pakistani host and actor Tauqeer Haider and renowned actress and television host Farah Saadia have dismissed viral social media rumors claiming that they had secretly tied the knot, calling the reports completely false.
In a video message shared online, the two artists addressed the speculation with humor and sarcasm while criticizing YouTubers and social media content creators for spreading unverified information.
Joking about the rumors, Farah Saadia and Tauqeer Haider said, “Yes, we are happily married. We wanted to announce the good news ourselves, but unfortunately our hardworking YouTubers broke the news before we could.”
Tauqeer Haider humorously added that he woke up to discover on the internet that he had married Farah. Referring to a fabricated wedding image circulating online, he joked that he looked like a “very handsome groom” in the edited picture.
He also quipped that if YouTubers had earned around Rs200,000 by posting the false story, they should at least send the pair Rs50,000 as a wedding gift, saying it would make for “a good business arrangement.”
Clarifying his personal views, Tauqeer said he is happy with his current life, adding humorously that remaining unmarried had taught him not to get married, while Farah had learned from her past marriage that it was not the right choice for her.
Farah Saadia said she was shocked when she first came across the reports and criticized the spread of misinformation for online monetization.
She stressed that such false claims affect not only public figures but also their families, including their children and parents, who are often questioned about the rumors.
Appealing to content creators to act responsibly, Farah said people should avoid spreading false stories about others’ personal lives for views and revenue. She clarified that she and Tauqeer Haider are close friends and will continue to remain good friends, dismissing any speculation about a marital relationship.
