Eight Militants Killed in Security Operations in Balochistan, Says ISPR

RAWALPINDI:** Pakistan’s security forces killed eight militants during separate intelligence-based operations conducted in the Balochistan districts of Kharan and Mastung, according to the military’s media wing.
In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the operations were carried out on June 25 and 26 against militants described by the military as *Fitna al-Hindustan*.
According to the ISPR, security forces tracked the movement of a group of militants in Kharan and launched a timely and effective operation. Three militants were killed, while several others were injured during the exchange of fire.
In a separate intelligence-based operation conducted on June 26 in Mastung, security forces acted on information regarding the presence of a suspected suicide bomber and targeted a militant hideout before an attack could be carried out.
The ISPR said that after an intense exchange of fire, five militants, including the suspected suicide bomber, were killed.
The military said the operations were based on intelligence and were aimed at preventing militant activities in the region.
