Digital Balochistan Vision: Birth, Marriage, and Death Certificates to Be Available Online via Mobile App

Quetta: In a major step toward the **Digital Balochistan Vision**, citizens of the province will soon be able to obtain **birth, marriage, and death certificates online** through a new **mobile application**.
The announcement was made during a meeting on the **Birth Registration Program**, chaired by **Secretary of Local Government and Rural Development Abdul Rauf Baloch**, and attended by senior officials from **UNICEF, NADRA**, and other departments.
Secretary Abdul Rauf Baloch emphasized the importance of **timely birth registration** for ensuring children’s rights and access to basic services. He said the new digital system will allow people to apply for and receive essential civil documents directly from their smartphones, marking a significant advancement toward the **Digital Pakistan initiative**.
He further stated that the provincial government, with support from **health centers and educational institutions**, is ensuring birth registration at the grassroots level.
Appealing to parents, the secretary urged them to **register their children’s births promptly**, highlighting that this registration is crucial for a child’s **future, legal identity, and access to rights** such as education, healthcare, and inheritance.
