Cause of PTI Lawmakers’ Clash Revealed

The reason behind the recent altercation between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members of the National Assembly has reportedly come to light.

A dispute took place outside Adiala Jail on Tuesday involving PTI leaders Iqbal Afridi and Sibghatullah. The incident was also discussed during a parliamentary party meeting chaired by PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan.

According to sources, the disagreement originated during a session of the National Assembly. PTI leader Junaid Akbar became upset after Iqbal Afridi pointed out a lack of quorum in the house proceedings.

Sources said that Sibghatullah had attempted to intervene and prevent a physical confrontation between Junaid Akbar and Iqbal Afridi during the assembly session. It is alleged that Iqbal Afridi later called supporters outside Adiala Jail in an attempt to settle scores with both Junaid Akbar and Sibghatullah.

The matter reportedly remained a topic of discussion at the PTI parliamentary party meeting, where members consulted on ways to resolve internal differences and prevent further disputes within the party.

No official statement has yet been issued by the party leadership regarding the incident.
