Karachi Consumer Court Fines Internet Service Provider Over Poor Service Quality

KARACHI: The Consumer Protection Court South in Karachi has imposed a penalty on a private internet service provider for delivering substandard internet services to a customer.
According to the court’s ruling, the company has been ordered to pay Rs50,000 in compensation to the affected consumer for the inconvenience caused by poor service quality.
In addition, the court directed the company to deposit a fine of Rs5,000 into the national treasury.
The court also instructed the internet service provider to improve the quality of its services and ensure uninterrupted internet connectivity for its customers in the future.
The decision was issued in response to a consumer complaint regarding unsatisfactory internet performance and service disruptions.
