Momina Iqbal Sends Legal Notice to Nasir Madni, Demands Public Apology

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani actress Momina Iqbal has served a legal notice on religious scholar Nasir Madni, demanding a public apology and retraction of statements that she claims have harmed her reputation, dignity, and professional career.

According to the legal notice, certain remarks made by Nasir Madni regarding the actress were defamatory and caused damage to her public image and standing in the entertainment industry. The notice argues that the statements fall within the scope of defamation and calls for their immediate withdrawal.

The notice further demands that Nasir Madni issue a public apology and formally retract the comments within the stipulated period. It warns that if the demands are not met, Momina Iqbal reserves the right to pursue further legal action to protect her rights and reputation.

The latest development comes amid a series of legal disputes involving the actress. In recent weeks, Momina Iqbal has remained in the spotlight over allegations of harassment and cybercrime-related complaints.

Earlier, she approached the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) against Punjab Assembly member Saqib Chadhar, alleging cyber harassment, threats, and blackmail. Following the complaint, a case was reportedly registered under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA).

The dispute with Nasir Madni has attracted significant attention on social media and within entertainment circles, where differing opinions continue to emerge regarding the allegations and subsequent legal action.

Observers are now awaiting Nasir Madni’s response to the legal notice and whether the matter will proceed to court if a settlement is not reached.
