Truck’s Hidden Compartments Yield Crystal Meth Worth Rs180 Million; Driver Escapes

Quetta: In a major anti-narcotics operation, Balochistan Customs seized crystal meth (Ice) worth more than Rs180 million from concealed compartments inside a truck.

According to Customs officials, the operation was carried out on a tip-off received by Collector Customs Shahid Khan and Deputy Collector Customs Rizwan. Acting on the intelligence, Inspector Muhammad Ali Mandokhail of Drakshan Customs, along with his team, intercepted a suspicious truck and conducted a thorough search.

During the inspection, officials discovered a large quantity of crystal meth hidden in specially constructed secret compartments within the vehicle. The seized narcotics are estimated to be worth over Rs180 million.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the drugs were being transported to major cities across the country for distribution. During the operation, the truck driver managed to flee the scene, abandoning the vehicle.

Customs authorities have taken custody of both the truck and the recovered narcotics and launched further investigations. Efforts are underway to arrest the absconding suspect and identify other individuals involved in the smuggling network.
