AI System Developed for RapidDetection of Brain Tumors in Just 12 Minutes

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) – Scientists have developed an advanced artificial intelligence (AI) system capable of diagnosing brain tumors in just 12 minutes, a breakthrough that could revolutionize cancer detection worldwide.

The new system, developed by researchers in Heidelberg, Germany, significantly reduces the average diagnostic time from around 12 days to just minutes, offering unprecedented speed and accuracy in medical diagnostics.

The AI model, named HETAIROS, is designed to identify and analyze brain tumors with high precision by combining molecular and microscopic data, which is often required for accurate diagnosis.

Experts say that diagnosing brain tumors typically involves highly complex tests that require expensive equipment and can take up to two weeks to produce results.

To address this challenge, German researchers developed the AI-powered system to make brain cancer diagnosis faster, more efficient, and more accessible.

Project lead researcher Moritz Gerstung from the German Cancer Research Center said that HETAIROS demonstrates how AI-driven digital pathology can transform medical diagnostics, enabling faster and more scalable testing methods that were previously only possible with highly complex laboratory techniques.

Researchers believe this innovation could significantly improve early detection and treatment planning for brain cancer patients globally.
