DG ISPR Briefs Nation on Indian Aggression: 26 Martyred, 46 Injured — Pakistan Responds Decisively

ISLAMABAD:Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), **Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry**, addressed the nation in a detailed press conference following **Indian aggression and Pakistan’s retaliatory response**, revealing the scale of civilian casualties and Pakistan’s robust defense.
He confirmed that **India carried out missile and aerial strikes** on **six locations**, martyring **26 civilians** and injuring **46 others**. Among the most tragic attacks was the targeting of **Masjid Subhan Allah** in **Ahmedpur Sharqia**, where **13 people**, including **two 3-year-old girls, 7 women, and 4 men**, were martyred, and **37 civilians** were injured, **9 of them women**.
Other key incidents included:
* **Masjid Bilal near Muzaffarabad**: 3 civilians martyred, including a **young girl and boy** injured.
* **Masjid Abbas in Kotli**: A **16-year-old girl** and an **18-year-old boy** martyred; their **mother and sister injured**.
* **Masjid Umm Al-Qura in Muridke**: 3 civilians martyred, 1 injured.
* **Sialkot (Loharaan village)**: No casualties reported.
* **Shakargarh**: A **local dispensary** damaged.
The DG ISPR emphasized that **Pakistan’s response was targeted, proportionate, and within its own territory**. He made it clear that **Pakistani aircraft did not enter Indian airspace**, and only responded **after Indian jets initiated attacks and fired weapons**.
In retaliation, the **Pakistan Air Force** successfully **shot down five Indian aircraft** — **three Rafale fighters, one MiG-21, one Sukhoi**, and **a Heron drone**. Moreover, **multiple Indian military posts along the Line of Control (LoC)** were destroyed in response to **unprovoked shelling**, which also claimed the lives of **five innocent civilians**, including a **five-year-old child**.
General Chaudhry also revealed that India targeted the **Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower Project**, indicating an attempt to **damage Pakistan’s critical water infrastructure**. He described such actions as part of a **broader Hindutva-driven mindset** under the Modi government, which increasingly targets **religious minorities** and **Muslim places of worship**.
“India has struck mosques inside Pakistan. This reflects the narrow and extremist ideology thriving under the Hindutva regime,” he stated, adding that **Pakistan will never tolerate attacks on its sovereignty and religious sites**.
He concluded, “India fears death; we long for martyrdom. We will defend every inch of our homeland with courage and conviction.”
