Governor Faisal Karim Kundi Criticizes KP Government’s Handling of Security

Islamabad:Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has expressed concerns about the lack of attention the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) is paying to the province’s security situation. Speaking to the media in Multan, Kundi stated that lawlessness is on the rise under the current government, which has failed to maintain peace in the province.

He pointed out that the Chief Minister is too preoccupied with rallies and political events to address the growing insecurity. “We provided a peaceful Pakistan to the people on the streets today. The KP government received 600 billion for security, but the police lack the necessary resources,” Kundi remarked.

Kundi criticized the provincial government for operating under a banner of corruption, citing issues related to the Peshawar BRT project as an example of financial misconduct. He acknowledged that there are challenges within coalition governments but assured that grievances will be addressed.

He also praised Bilawal Bhutto for his active campaigning in the lead-up to the general elections, noting that it is rare to see such a vigorous effort. Furthermore, Kundi highlighted Bilawal’s commitment to establishing constitutional courts and emphasized that the people of the region have placed their trust in the Pakistan Peoples Party.
