Islamabad Extends Business Hours for Markets, Shops, and Restaurants

ISLAMABAD:** Authorities in Islamabad have announced an extension in operating hours for markets, shops, and commercial establishments across the federal capital.

Under the revised schedule, shops, markets, shopping malls, and general retail outlets will now be allowed to remain open until 9:00 p.m., according to an official notification issued by the administration.

The notification further states that restaurants may operate until 11:00 p.m., while takeaway and delivery services will remain exempt from the closing-time restrictions.

Authorities have also decided to maintain operating hours for wedding halls and event venues until 10:00 p.m.

Several essential services will be exempt from the new timing regulations, including pharmacies, hospitals, petrol pumps, and businesses related to information technology and telecommunications.

The move is expected to provide greater flexibility for businesses and consumers while ensuring that essential services remain available without interruption.
